My name is George Harris. I served in the US Army for 10 years and am seeking a challenging career change. I am an experienced manager currently enrolled at UC Denver with a ultimate goal of obtaining my Masters in Public Administration. I have posted my resume below for review and consideration.

Summary: I have over 13 years experience working at all levels of government. I served in the United States Army for 10 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. I have extensive experience in program management and program development. I also have a wealth of knowledge regarding course development and implementation.

Military Service Experience includes working as an instructor for the Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Additionally, I was selected to serve as the Battalion S2 for the 743d Military Intelligence Battalion; a position which is normally reserved for a junior Captain. Finally, I have served as the Signals Intelligence Training Manager for the Aerospace Data Facility at Buckley AF Base providing oversight on technical and professional training for all four branches of services.

University of Colorado Denver June 2008 – September 2009

Oversaw the creation and integration of a stand-alone veteran student services office. Supported 564 veteran and veteran dependent students on both the Downtown Denver and Anschutz Medical Campuses. Served as the certifying official for the University of Colorado Denver, certifying students eligibility to receive veterans educational benefits. Works in conjunction with the US Department of Veteran Affairs to provide students with education, insurance and other benefit services available. Provided advocacy, retention services, assistance with a variety of issues and facilitated student access to services, including information and referrals for on-campus and off-campus services.
