Senior Construction QC/QA Engineer — Afghanistan

Duties:
The incumbent for this position oversees Security Logistic Team (SLT) Engineers and gathers critical information to facilitate safe and secure execution of reconstruction missions by conducting site assessment visits prior to, during, and at the completion of the project. This includes the following:
1. Coordinating QA engineer teams for the assigned oversight office.
2. Identify civil affairs projects to enhance construction projects
3. Prepare Preliminaries and Executive Summaries for all site visits
4. Provide Site Information Reports and give input to Project Engineer
5. Complete Construction Progress, Quality Assurance, and Safety Reports for all site visits.
Job Qualification Requirements:
1. Must have an ABETS accredited degree in Engineering or a NAAB accredited degree in Architecture.
2. And must have at least 5 years of experience in non-residential construction in QA/QC and supervisory jobs.
3. Must have an ACTIVE SECRET Clearance – (Meaning you have worked on a SECRET job or higher in the last two years and you are not more than 10 years out from your original SECRET investigation determination.)
4. Experience and familiarity with terminology, methods, and materials of various types of commercial construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
5. Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with customers and staff architects/engineers, subcontractors and vendors.
6. Must have extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
7. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office such as WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint.
8. Prior experience with United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is highly recommended
